- You can get 68000s up to 16 or 20MHz, but I wouldn't recommend it. There are
- some hacks that double the 68000's clock to 14.28MHz. But overall speed isn't
- doubled, in fact you get a speed increase of only about 25%. That's because
- for every RAM or I/O access the clock has to be switched back to 7.14MHz.
- Don't bother, it's not worth it. If you want to keep the 500, get a 020 or 030
- accelerator, they're not too expensive.
